Should Your Range Hood Match Your Appliances?

A range hood is one of the most functional appliances in your kitchen. It absorbs smoke, fumes, odor, and harmful particles in order to keep your air clean and free of contamination. But the question remains—should a range hood match kitchen appliances?

The short answer: it depends on your preferences. If you want a more uniform and coordinated finish, then match your range to your appliances. If you want a more adventurous look, let your hood stand out by painting it a bold color or going for a material that is different than your appliances. This will add allure, make your kitchen look extra chic, and grab your guests’ attention.

Regardless of which route you decide to take, don’t go too crazy, and always limit the colors between your appliances and range hood to two, three maximum. Why? Combining more than three hues leads to a chaotic space that’s unappealing to the eye. You wouldn’t want that, would you?

Keep on reading for a handful of kitchen design ideas to provide you with future range hood inspiration.
