This year, I’ve decided that I want to spread as much Halloween cheer as possible, which includes decorating every part of the house—including the bathroom. However, I am admittedly a bit of a newbie when it comes to Halloween bathroom decor. So I did what every beginner does: I went to Google. This led me down a rabbit hole of Halloween searches like, “How do you decorate a bathroom for Halloween”, “The best Halloween bathroom decor ideas,” “The best Halloween crafts”. Okay, I fell off track a bit on that last one but it did end up giving me some fabulous DIY decor ideas!

Anyway, I quickly learned that while decorating a bathroom for Halloween was a bit more uncommon, tons of people do it. Plus, there are many Halloween decorating ideas to choose from depending on the amount of space you have and the look you want. For example, if you’re looking for something more elegant and traditional, some small pumpkins are an easy addition. However, if you’re going for something quirky and original, using a skeleton has the potential for tons of laughs. Prefer something spooky? Try spiders, bats, or other creepy crawlies.

The collection below featuring Halloween bathroom decor gathers all of those great ideas in one place. My favorite is probably the skeleton indulging in its self-care routine, but the DIY bats are a close second! I hope you find as much enjoyment and inspiration from these picks as I did. Or, at the very least, enjoy the skeleton shenanigans.

Guests will get a hoot (and maybe a bit of fright) when they got to use the bathroom and discover it is already occupied! To infuse this scene with more Halloween fun, plastic pumpkins, black candles, and other Halloween accessories were added. Other fun items to consider include fake spiderwebs and bats.

Even skeletons need to relieve themselves after getting into the Halloween punch. I wonder if he was the one that decorated the shelf over the toilet with pumpkins, spiders, and webs? If so, he sure has style (but from his outfit, we already knew that!)

The Naked Skeleton & Dressed Up Shelf

For farmhouse Halloween bathroom decor, try adding a wooden sign or two to the wall or shelf. Fabric pumpkins are also a great addition that has a softer feel than real pumpkins, has more color selection, and can be used year after year. Making your own fabric pumpkins is a fun DIY Halloween decor project. Alternatively, if you aren’t in a DIY mood, you can commonly find them available at craft shows and home goods stores.

If you aren’t into quirky skeletons, that is a-okay. There are lots of elegant bathroom Halloween decor ideas out there. To keep your bathroom decor looking sophisticated, it is best to turn to nature. This may include Fall foliage vase fillers, fall wreaths, and mini pumpkins. Can’t find a pumpkin in the pastel shade or neutral tone you want? A can of spray paint can transform any pumpkin! Additionally, you can also look for Halloween-themed hand towels and wall signs that have minimal patterns and muted tones to Halloweenify your bathroom.

Black & Orange

Halloween Bathroom Decor Ideas

Like most holidays, Halloween has its own color scheme—black & orange. Try sprinkling those colors around a bathroom to infuse it with some Halloween vibes. Consider black metal items and orange pumpkins if you’re looking for a farmhouse feel. An orange filler in a black vase can also be a subtle way to show off your Halloween spirit. You can always hide a small pumpkin or mini witches’ hat n the foliage if you want to subtly make the arrangement more Halloweeny.

The Perfect Halloween Shelfie

Swapping out shelf decor with the seasons is a great way to keep a room feeling fresh and festive. In this example, a witch, some pumpkins, and a Man in the Moon are used. However, generally, any smaller Halloween decor works well for shelves. Keep your eyes peeled for vintage Halloween decor at yard sales and antique markets throughout the year if you want your display to be truly one-of-a-kind.
