What inspired you to do this partnership with Soul & Lane?

Designing something for the home has always been a dream of mine! When Soul & Lane reached out it was a dream come true!

What is your approach to decorating your home?

When decorating our home, I love to add neutral elements that are cozy at the same time. I love when everything just flows together. My biggest tip when decorating is to take your time. Add only what you love. Not just to fill a space.

Tell us about a recent project you did and things you wished you knew before you did it.

A recent remodel that I would do differently next time would have been our kitchen! I didn’t time anything and just ripped everything out. Being without a kitchen with a family of 5 for 4 months was not ideal.

Your most and least favorite places to decorate at home?

My most favorite area to decorate in our home is the living room. I love adding cozy elements, lighting candles, and making it a gathering place for my family. Least favorite is our mudroom/entryway. Mainly because it’s the “catch all” and gets dirty fast living on a hobby farm. No matter what I do it’s always messy and dirty.

Our Partnership

Nowadays, easier than ever, we can decorate our homes with the help of numerous inspiring home décor bloggers who are kindly sharing their home design tricks, tips and ideas. Erica Mueller has been such an inspiring example of that. Partnering with her was even better than we could have ever hoped for.

Erica is a popular home décor blogger and interior home designer with almost 200K followers and 2000 posts. She invites her audience to witness a beautiful remodeling of her cozy 1958 home in rural Iowa. "I created these 2 styles because one is a little bolder while the other is very neutral. And could be used as blankets in the living room or traditionally on the beds."
