Kitchen hoods are necessary but also can be used to make a stunning statement in your kitchen. I think my favorite part of this kitchen is how they designer blended white, black, and wood accents to create a fresh, modern look. The cane chairs placed along the black-painted island perfectly match the word floating shelves on either side of the dramatic black hood vent, while the white walls and countertops keep the space bright. Black accents found in the light fixtures and faucet add a modern touch for an updated look.

With a growing family, I’m endlessly jealous of the large stove and oven that sits in pride of place in this beautiful kitchen. The large vent overhead is perfectly fitted to span the width of the oven and framed with cabinets with warm copper pulls. The pot filler mounted on the back wall matches the copper accents and creates the ideal setup for cooking large family dinners.

Gray and white are the perfect combination for a farmhouse kitchen and this space uses them both to their best advantage with white cabinets and a gray subway tile backsplash. Clear glass doors allow for a beautiful collection of dishes to shine, while the vertical shiplap hood vent amplifies the farmhouse vibe. Don’t forget to add seasonal decor like a natural wheat wreath and a bouquet of fiery autumn leaves placed in a glass jug for the finishing touches!

Add warmth to an all-white kitchen by adding a wooden hood vent over a stainless steel stove to meld modern and classic design. Not only does it add a beautiful centerpiece to your kitchen, but elevates the look of the whole room. Continue the stainless steel theme with matching appliances set along the white and gray solid surface countertops.

Small classic additions make this kitchen look high-end and customized, and I’m particularly fond of the sliding ladder that makes it easy to reach high cabinets. Gleaming copper pots are hung above a white oven, framed by a stunning black hood vent that contrasts with the white cabinets and subway tile backsplash that surround the kitchen. Polished wood floors elevate the classic design while adding the perfect amount of warmth to this timeless look.

One of the first changes I made when we moved into our home was to update the light fixtures to help make it feel more in line with my personal style. These woven pendant lights are a quick and easy update to create a gorgeous coastal-inspired kitchen, which is elevated with the addition of the light gray wood chairs pulled up to the white island in the center of the room. Gold handles add a luxurious accent to the ambiance of the room.

White subway tile can look boring and predictable, but not when you switch up the pattern as on this kitchen’s backsplash. The herringbone pattern behind the stove draws your eye along with the black and white tea kettle placed on the stove. A white hood vent and matching cabinets wrap around the kitchen, warmed by the addition of a taupe Roman shade covering the large window behind the sink.

Carrara marble countertops perfectly showcase an electric stovetop and industrial stainless steel hood vent in this modern kitchen. Most attractive of all, perhaps, is the mosaic tile backsplash that incorporates geometric lines into a clean, white space. Bold tile patterns make me want to experiment with unique designs in my home to help create a design that is personalized to my exact taste.

Dark wood floors contrast with the white shaker-style cabinets in this large and airy kitchen. Black pulls match the black pendant lights hung above the island in the center of the room and the dark gray countertops add depth to the design. Large windows over the apron-front sink create the perfect view of nature while cleaning up after a family meal.

Clean and white, this kitchen features white cabinets, countertops, and a white subway tile backsplash. A delicate wreath is hung on the hood vent above the oven, adding a decorative touch. Instantly upgrade your home by switching out cabinet and drawer pulls with ones with a gold or bronze finish for a luxurious accent.

The first design element that catches my attention in this kitchen is the patterned tile backsplash that covers the back wall of the room. Beautiful woodwork is evident in the white hood vent over the stove with millwork featured on the cabinets and kitchen island. Wide plant hardwood floors and black metal lantern lights blend farmhouse and modern design.

If you really want your home to shine, install lights in the upper cabinets with glass doors in your high-ceiling kitchen. When paired with the dark granite countertops and patterned tile behind the stainless steel stove, the whole look is stylish and luxurious. Don’t forget to add a pink floral bouquet with gold accents to complete the look!

If your kitchen is on the smaller side, using light paint colors is the best way to make the room feel more spacious. White reflects light, which is why it’s used on the cabinets, counters, and backsplash in this kitchen. Warm up the space by adding warm gold elements in the pendant light fixtures and cabinet pulls.

Sleek and industrial is the name of the game in this stylish kitchen. The gleaming white countertops are an impeccable match with the white cabinetry, with a stainless steel oven and hood vent along the back wall. Subway tile is a classic look, but I love how it’s been updated here with gray tile to give more warmth and contrast to the overall aesthetic.

Stand-alone hood vents can be an eye sore, but not when they’re built with such high craftsmanship as this gorgeous vent. The all-white kitchen shines with details such as a subway tile backsplash, countertops, and cabinetry. Woven bamboo shades over the two windows framing the vent incorporate a warmth that white kitchens often need.

Modern kitchen design often features long drawer and cabinet pulls that help create the long clean lines that contemporary design is known for. That look is maximized here with the addition of a stainless steel oven and a matching hood. The white cabinets and countertops are the perfect contrast to finish this modern kitchen.

This scene makes me want to start cooking up a large, delicious meal for family ad friends. The stunning black hood vent is personalized with a name plaque that perfectly matches the accents on the stove and kitchen decor below. The white subway tile wall and floating wood shelves give me European vibes that remind me of traveling by train throughout the continent when I was younger.

Rustic elements shine in this kitchen with a wood hood vent framed by distressed white cabinets. White shiplap covers the wall and helps the dark wood stove cover showcase the white tea kettle and glowing candle. Add in organic elements like a pine wreath and amber glass vase with a pine bough to help the rustic design look its best.

If you want to turn a standard, builder-grade home into a customized dream home, then removing upper cabinets and replacing them with a stylish hood vent should be top of your list. White cabinets frame the angular vent in this kitchen, which is wrapped with a wood band that adds an elegant addition to the entire ambiance. Simple countertop decorations include wooden cutting boards and a potted plant.

Hood vents can sometimes seem outdated, but not with this modern addition. The curved, industrial design makes the whole kitchen appear more contemporary, especially when paired with the flat front cabinets with brushed nickel pulls. The cool white and silver tones are echoed in the light gray tile backsplash and white countertops.

One of my favorite design elements is the use of natural light that infuses a space with warmth. The white cabinets and countertops here reflect the light from a nearby window to appear airy and spacious. Light wood floating shelves and floors, along with an angular hood vent, give this kitchen a definite Scandinavian vibe. The unique wood and cane chairs placed around the countertop act as a beautiful accent that are both functional and fun.

Decking the halls isn’t just limited to the living room, especially when holiday cheer is flowing! Pine boughs are draped across the hood vent in this all-white kitchen, with miniature pine trees and wooden cutting boards decorating the countertop below. Simple decorations can make a big statement when you have a neutral room that lets the details shine.

I really appreciate how hood vents can be built to look like the surrounding cabinetry to prevent it from sticking out. This kitchen uses this technique perfectly to create a seamless design across the upper cabinets, further accessorizing the room with a wreath hung on the disguised vent. I’m toying with the idea of using gold pulls in my kitchen to give a more luxurious look to the room, just like I see here.

My dream kitchen definitely features a large window that overlooks the backyard and opens to allow a connection between the inside and outside. Not only does it allow you to allow in nature, but also infuses the room with natural light. The all-white design reflects all the light to create an open and airy kitchen with gleaming silver accents.
