Within the conversation of cleanability, black granite is glorious because of how durable it is and it hides all stains! I love a dark countertop for numerous reasons, but its ability to disguise all messes is number one in my book.
Be mindful, however, about installing a completely dark island in a small kitchen. “I advise against choosing a darker color for a kitchen island in smaller spaces, as it can create a feeling of confinement,” advises interior designer Neha Kaimal. Instead consider lighter palettes for both small spaces and areas with multiple dark elements for a more open and balanced kitchen design.
