I always prefer maximizing the feeling of space and light with light, neutral colors. In my opinion, it feels so much more open and relaxing, which is why I frequently default to shades of white and gray in both my paint and furniture selection. Just like in this living room, though, I also try to add in hints of color and pattern with my throw pillows and artwork to ensure the space doesn’t appear bland.
