Similar to shiplap, though a tad more traditional, is beadboard. Its very thin panels with soft trim work beautifully in a cottage-inspired or antique kitchen. When asked about shiplap in a kitchen, design enthusiast Hailey exclaims, “I love it! Or beadboard…I think it gives a cozy feel.” Durability aside, beadboard certainly invokes feelings of familiarity and security because of its nostalgic ambiance that is sure to create the most welcoming interior.
